“In 1968 dread was the currency. It was what kept you up all night, and not just the night Bobby Kennedy was shot... Dread was why every day could feel like a trap. (...) The feeling that the country was coming apart – that, for what looked and felt like a casually genocidal war in Vietnam, the country had commited crimes so great they could not be paid, that the country deserved to live out its time in its own ruins – was so visceral that the presidential election felt like a sideshow.

It’s pretty safe to say that we’ve all seen High School Musical and have at one point yelled ‘WILDCATS’ from the top of our lungs when asked ‘What team?’ (if you haven’t then I’m judging you!) But since those Disney days ended, Vanessa Hudgens has transformed herself into being the ultimate California babe.

With the body of a Victoria’s Secret model and the most luscious locks I’ve ever envied, Vanessa is the dream style icon.

Despite Michigan's two incoming snowstorms I've started gathering warm-weather fashion inspiration. Can you guess what it is?

If you look through fashion meets God's wardrobe looks, it's hard to pinpoint an exact style. From neon hip-hopper to lace-y and floral girly-girl, it's all over the board! But as I'm dreaming of temperatures far, far away from the teen degrees, kimonos, fringed bags, beaded accessories, stacked bracelets, midi rings, floppy hats, and an abundance of turquoise jewelry all come to mind.

I have been busy working on the new jewellery collection for spring 2014. Here is a peek at the new extra long "Traveller" necklace with a combination od three different chains, plenty of beads, tiny tassel and some vintage embroidery, of course. For spring they will be available in three different colours, but for summer I will add a new colourway.

Pam and Michael

A very interesting submission today. In the spring of 1973, Pamela Courson was living in San Francisco with a man named Michael Verjaska. She had been friends with Michael for a few years but they became lovers after Jim died. She was also seeing Randy Ralston.

These images came from a personal home video from one of Pam’s friends in San Francisco.

The submitter said  ”Pamela Courson and her boyfriend in the early 70′s.” and asked to remain anonymous. Looks like she was growing out her bob at the time. Great images and thank you!

I found a couple of Kilim jackets the other day while out thrifting, and listed one , but found myself unable to part with the other. Window shopping on pinterest, I ran across a Navajo kilim weekender bag, and I’m besotted. It’s the one on the top left, if you’re curious and it’s selling for $500 on ebay. Not in the budget, so I’ll be looking for my own more affordable vintage kilim bag on future thrifting excursions.
