If you have been following my site for a while you know that I don’t post photographs of Pamela that are tagged by fans. The only time I do that is if the photographs are tagged by the rightful owners, which is always the photographers.
In the recent days, new photographs of Pam taken by Jim Morrison in Paris, 1971 have emerged. They are beautiful. Unfortunately, they were horribly destroyed by fans in their plight to cover Pamela’s breast. Many fans are upset and vocal on Pinterest and Tumblr about what was done to these photographs.
I whole heartily agree with these users on Pinterest and Tumblr who are rightfully outraged that Pamela’s body has been censored. One Tumblr user I especially agree with goes by the username Bandaidpennylane. Pamela’s photos taken by Jim Morrison are under the category of ‘artistic nudes.’ They are not pornographic. This same Tumblr user brought up the fact that Pamela posed for outdoorsy nudes for Randy Ralston in 1972. I have Randy’s photographs on my site completely uncensored. Pamela wasn’t hiding herself or covering herself up for Randy. She looked blissful posing with Sage.
As Bandaidpennylane so eloquently expressed, Pamela was a free spirit. She was not ashamed of her body. By censoring these photographs, you are in ways shaming Pamela. Another Tumblr user who goes by Lanadelreyvisualaesthetics wrote in response that many women of the 1960s posed nude. Jane Birkin, Sharon Tate, Brigitte Bardot to name a few. Fans of these incredible women never censored their photographs. Why are Pamela’s being censored?
Bad enough these photographs are being censored but they are being censored in a crude way. Using stickers to cover up Pamela’s delicate breasts or in another case, terribly pen off with green markings. Pamela was not ashamed of her body when she posed nude for Randy and Jim. Are you ashamed of her body? Fans like this should actually be ashamed of doing something like this.
I’m really tired of fans tagging photographs of Jim and Pam that they do not legally own. I refuse to put those types of edited photos on my site.
With that being said, I’m not posting the photographs that were horribly censored by these two individuals. What they did was crude and so wrong on many levels. I will only be posting Pamela’s face from these ruined photographs.
I hope these photographs are eventually leaked completely uncensored. It’s bad enough certain fans have kept these photographs under lock and key in secret for many years, refusing to share them. What’s worst is that they now show them in a very crude matter, destroying the beautiful photographs Jim lovingly took.
Pamela by all accounts wasn’t a prude. This girl was out there challenging Jim and living her best life. Letting her freak flag fly with no inhibitions.
